Ham Steak
Cook’s Bone-In Ham Steaks are fully cooked and ready to eat, or you may heat them using the following directions.Stovetop
- Remove wrapper.
- Heat large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add ham steak to skillet and cook 1-1/2 to 3 minutes per side until heated through.
Oven/Broil
- Remove wrapper.
- Heat broiler.
- Place ham steak on rack in shallow roasting pan.
- Broil 2 to 4 minutes per side, 4-inches from heat, until heated through.
Grill
- Remove wrapper.
- Heat gas or charcoal grill to medium.
- Grill ham steak 2 to 4 minutes per side until heated through.
Microwave
- Remove wrapper.
- Slash edges of ham steak st 3-ince intervals to prevent ham from curling.
- Place ham steak on microwave-safe plate; cover loosely with plastic wrap.
- Microwave on HIGH (100% power) for 2 to 4 minutes.
- Let stand, covered, 2 minutes before serving.
- Cooking times may vary depending on wattage of your microwave.
Serve with eggs for a morning breakfast. For lunch, slice and add to your favorite salad, soup, or sandwich. Top it with your favorite glaze and vegetables for dinner. Don't forget kabobs, casseroles, stir fry, and pasta dishes!
